4th of July Celebrations in Sedona
Fireworks and Events around the Verde Valley
Happy Independence Day to you! If you are looking for 4th of July fireworks in Sedona, then you will be a little disappointed. Sedona hasn’t had a fireworks display for many years due to the severe fire hazard. Instead, the city will offer free recreation swimming at the Community Pool Wet Fest from 12pm until 4pm. The pool opens at 12 p.m. for recreation swim and just outside the pool gate they will have water slides, food trucks, face painting and a photo booth. This is a very popular event for the kids.
Fireworks are only a short drive away in Cottonwood, Arizona. They have a great aerial display starting at 9pm. Cottonwood’s Fantastic Family Fourth of July is held annually and is in their 24th year. Fireworks are shot off from the Cottonwood Kids Park located at the Verde Valley Fairgrounds. The fireworks can be seen from all over town. Pack up the kids and head to Cottonwood to celebrate Independence Day! Read about it here. Come early and enjoy free food from 4-6 p.m., the VFW Patriotic Salute, and kid’s games (with wristband purchase).
The Town of Clarkdale will have their Old-Fashioned 4th of July. Starting at 7am until 11am, there will be a parade, a pancake breakfast and the Cottonwood Community Band will perform. This event is free and is always great for kids and adults alike. For all the fun, head over to the Clarkdale Town Gazebo.
