El Rincon

El Rincon Restaurante Mexicano

El Rincon Restaurante Mexicano was the first restaurant inside Tlaquepaque more than 40 years ago.  Today, El Rincon is still voted as Sedona’s best Mexican Food restaurant.  The food is described as traditional Mexican food with a Navajo/Hopi influence.  Not only are delectable tacos, enchiladas and burritos served, but try the El Rincon specialties Navajo Pizza, Chimichangas and Sopapillas.  In the mood for a good Margarita? Elote Café is an award winning restaurant specializing in the flavors of the Southwest and Southern Mexico. Whether you share an appetizer or order the large plates, remember to leave room for the margaritas and the desserts that are made in-house. Located in Uptown Sedona, Elote Café is only open Tuesday through Saturday. Dinner starts at 5:00pm. Reservations are required.

Javelina Cantina

Located inside the Hillside Shopping Center, Javelina Cantina offers delicious Mexican food.  Inside and patio dining are available.  Enjoy combo plates, fajitas, tacos, salads and more. Sit in the bar to sip on margaritas, wine, beer and tequila. Juniper Bar & Grille at Sedona Golf Resort

After a day on the links, stop by the Juniper Bar & Grille for breakfast or lunch.  They boast delicious meals, superb service and spectacular views. Miley’s Cafe

Miley’s Café is located at the Collective Sedona in the Village of Oak Creek. A family owned restaurant that is a favorite with the locals. Breakfast and lunch are served daily.  Come to enjoy breakfast favorites like omelets, pancakes and biscuits and gravy. Lunch includes both American and Mexican entrees. Oak Creek Brewery is a great place to take a break to enjoy a delicious lunch or dinner with an award winning micro-brew.  Nestled in Tlaquepaque, Oak Creek Brewery is located on the second floor with both indoor and outdoor seating.  Gourmet hamburgers, pizza and sandwiches are on the menu.  Don’t miss the salads, appetizers and the house specials too.  Lunch and dinner are served starting at 11:30am.  Reservations are not available, so it is first come, first served.

For over 40 years, Rene at Tlaquepaque has set the standard for Sedona’s fine dining.  Serving lunch and dinner, Rene’s serves “Continental Cuisine with a Southwestern Flair”.  Enjoy the patio within the courtyards and gardens of Tlaquepaque, relax in the formal dining room or have a toast in the lounge.  Lunch serves from 11:30am until 2:30pm, a light lunch offering from 2:30pm until dinner which starts at 5:30pm.  Reservations are recommended. Rene’s is located at 336 State Route 179, inside Tlaquepaque Arts and Shopping Village in Sedona.

Rotten Johnny’s Wood-Fired Pizza

Rotten Johnny’s Wood Fired Pizza serves delicious pizzas, salads, wings and sandwiches.  Known for their friendly service, Rotten Johnny’s is a family favorite in the Village of Oak.  The Jumbo Lump Crab Cakes and the Margherita Pizza are fan favorites.  Eat inside or enjoy the outdoor patio. Sedona Restaurants Mariposa Latin Inspired Grill

Chef Lisa Dahl has created Mariposa, a one-of-a-kind, fine dining experience in Sedona, Arizona.  Chef Dahl has perfected her culinary creations.  The South American inspired cuisine is only surpassed by the spectacular red rock views from the best location in Sedona. Mariposa specialties include their certified USDA black angus beef, the handmade empanadas and the Elote Charred Corn.  Other popular choices include the bone-in ribeye,  lamb chops and the pollo rustico. The dining room is elegant and the patio seating is perfect for taking in all that Sedona offers.  The full bar and wine and cocktail menu can’t be beat.  The wine selection comprises of mostly South American wines but the list also includes many wines from California and our great state of Arizona.

There are some things to know before dining at the Mariposa.  Reservations are required.  During busy times in Sedona, it is recommended that reservations for all restaurants be made at least 30 days in advance, but you may use their reservation app to see the availability.  Parties over six are not allowed.  Since Mariposa is a fine dining experience, they have a dress code for the main dining room.  Therefore, if you don’t meet the “resort casual” requirement, expect to be seated on the outdoor patio.
