Sedona Roundabouts.

Traffic Circles are easy once you get the hang of it.

Traffic Circles in Sedona are very popular.  Even though they are gaining popularity throughout Arizona, most people have never used a roundabout.  In Sedona and the Village of Oak Creek, there are thirteen roundabouts including two in the Uptown Sedona area.  Getting to know how to use these traffic controls before you head to Sedona is probably a good idea.  Once you learn the rules of using a roundabout, you’ll be able to navigate through them with ease.

How to use a roundabout.

The key to entering a roundabout is to yield to vehicles already inside. Never merge with oncoming cars because vehicles inside the roundabout have the right of way. As you approach, slow down or completely stop until it is safe to enter.  Always watch for bicyclists and pedestrians who may also be present.

Where to get information.

The Arizona Department of Transportation has a very detailed description of how to use a roundabout.  The link can be found here at https://www.azdot.gov/about/transportation-safety/roundabouts/overview/

Below, you’ll find a great video on YouTube that shows information about using the traffic circles in Sedona.
